Hi Dion … three to four sq metres should be enough however like all pumpkins they do tend to spread out. If you google tiger worms I’m sure you will find a local supplier and good luck with those bath tubs …. cheers.

HI: First I must say I came across your site through a friend sending me a photo of a New Zealand steam train with justaddworms.com on the bottom right hand corner.I live in Victoria Australia how much space do I need to grow Queensland blue pumpkin in my back yard and where can I get tiger worms from. I must admit I haven’t tried anywhere yet it’s just that I read your article about using an old bathtub and I have two of them in my junk heap.Thank you Dion.

Hi Lydia
You could probably squeeze then into an area of about 4 sq mtrs as they are easy to control. Work well if you have an area that’s not great for growing other veges. Another option would be to trail over a fence or something similar. Just make sure they have plenty of sun. They are very tasty … nice and sweet. If you visit the garden shop on this blog you can see them for sale …only $3.00 + P&P … cheers

Hi Olive … no I haven’t yet as it’s stored in our garage just now. Within the next month or so I will cut it open. Looking forward to doing that as I intend taking a brief video and posting it on this site. As they say watch this space … cheers.
